“Gifted children are those identified by qualified persons who by virtue of outstanding abilities, are capable of high performance. These are children who require differentiated educational programs and/or services beyond those normally provided by the regular school program.” The Academically Gifted Resource Specialists provide instruction and activities that teach divergent thinking, convergent thinking, sorting, classifying, verbal and geometric analogies, and authentic problem solving using logic matrices. Students who participate in the Academically Gifted clusters are expected to maintain a 3.0 GPA or better and satisfactory conduct.
