The National Society of Black Engineers Jr.

The program initiative sponsors The National Society of Black Engineers Jr. by Schoolfield Elementary & the Danville Chapter of Links, Incorporated to stimulate student’s interest and engagement in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).  Activities provide students opportunities for first hand experiences and the application of concepts in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics relative to their immediate and personal environments and from a global perspective.  Students engage in rigorous academics, leadership development, technology development, and team building skills.

The Schoolfield Elementary School’s National Society of Black Engineers Jr. will meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month, from 3pm – 5 pm including the following dates:

  • Feb. 7, 21,
  • March 7, 21,
  • April 4, 18  
  • May 2nd 2019. May 2nd will feature our culminating activities along with a celebration of our student’s achievements. Light refreshments will be served during this afterschool program.
